msXfax XP 6.7.4 build(245) Patch
Question:

Issues in msXfax XP 6.7.4 build 245 1. Routing Engine will create and send messages to the Messenger Mailbox with a blank Sender email Address. This will be rejected by some Exchange Servers. 2. Where the Senders Email had embedded apostrophes the authentication process in msXfax Xp will fail. 3. Domain Fax Addresses with no fax number will lockup Fax Server. 4. Corrupt Emails from Exchange can cause Fax Server to loop on bad message.

These Issues have been fixed in this patch : Only apply this patch to msXfax XP 6.7.4 build 245 : (A) Routing Engine will create and send messages to the Messenger Mailbox with a blank Sender email Address. This will be rejected by some Exchange Servers. (B) Where the Senders Email had embedded apostrophes the authentication process in msXfax Xp will fail. (C). Fax Requests via Domain addressing where no number is specified as in Clive@bns.fax will now be rejected. This format would previously lock up the fax server. (D).Corrupt mime messages that come from exchange are now rejected. Applying Patch : (1)Stop All msXfax Services. (2) Go to the msXfax Xp install directory \Program Files\BNS Applications\msXfax XP\Programs (3) Rename msXfaxOut.exe to msXfaxOut.old (4) Rename msXOutpop3Verify.dll tomsXOutpop3Verify.old (5) Rename msXfaxRoutingEngine.exe to msXfaxRoutingEngine.old (6) Unzip and copy patch to the same directory.
