I am receiving msxfaxout.exe task not responding
Question:
I am receiving task not responding messages every 10 minutes. After I reboot the message goes away but comes back.
Answer:
msXfax Xp spawns tasks to perform certain processes during a fax cycle. msXfaxout.exe is one of these tasks. Each task checks in when it is processing. If a task does not checkin for 10 minutes the msxfax Attendant will consider that there is a problem and send an alert to the Configured Administrator.
One reason why the tasks cannot be spawned is that the Virtual Memory maximum page size is too small to load the application. This happens when a machine gets busy.By default on Windows 2003 a Custom Page size is set. This should be changed to a System Managed Page size. This change is done via Control panel, System, Advanced Tab, Performance Setting, Advanced Tab, Virtual Memory, select change, select System, check system managed size. Select Set to apply the change and reboot the Fax Server.
