If there is an error code with an E followed by a number or "88" displays/flashes it would be an internal issue in the base unit. Uniden does offer a limited 1 year warranty off the proof of purchase. The proof of purchase is required for warranty service. Uniden phones that are purchased in the US or Canada are only made for use in the US or Canada. Using this phone in other countries will void the warranty and also may damage the unit due to the differences in electrical standards. Also the unit may not work as specified.
Uniden's warranty only covers purchases made for new products purchased directly from a verified retailer. Units purchased from E-bay, garage sale, etc. or companies that refurbishes phones and then sells them would not be covered under warranty. You would need to address this with the place of purchase or you may take advantage of the Out of Warranty procedure.
