Some students at Bow Valley College have Alberta health care coverage as part of their health benefits, but some may not. If you do not know if you have provincial health care coverage or not, please come and speak with a nurse in Health Services, Room 371, Main campus. We also have application forms for Alberta health care coverage.
If you have out-of-province health care coverage, that may cover some costs for a period of time as specified by that Province.
Provincial health care coverage covers costs for doctor visits (some services and supplies are not covered- ask before receiving the service), specialist referrals, hospitalization, lab testing, and diagnostic testing like x-rays, ultrasounds, and MRI scans.
