Why is my desktop weather icon not reporting a current temperature?

Question:

Why is my desktop weather icon not reporting a current temperature?

Answer:

The desktop weather icon is designed to update every 5 minutes.

To manually update your desktop weather icon temperature, right-click on the taskbar icon and select "Refresh" (you must be connected to the internet to successfully refresh the temperature).

If the temperature is blank or is "stuck" for an extended period, the reporting station that you are receiving your temperature from may not be reporting information. This problem usually does not last longer than 24 hours.

You can try to re-start the program by right-clicking on the taskbar icon and selecting "Exit", then starting the program back up from the Windows start menu.
