The U520 and U530 do not have a customer usable external antenna port. The antenna is built-in to the PCMCIA module.

(There is a RF port for manufacturing use only. It is not designed for an external antenna. You will violate CE mark certification if you attempt to use another antenna.)

To ensure best performance with your internal antenna:

• Avoid use close to metallic surfaces that may shield or interfere with radio signal.
• Make sure that area around the U520/U530 PCMCIA module is clear of devices and cables that make create interference.
• Orient the PC and PCMCIA module for best radio performance - near windows and away from dense walls and other internal structures that will affect radio signal.
