Are there any known Merlin C201 compatibility issues with Dell laptops?

There have only been a few laptop compatibility issues. There are two known issues with certain Dell laptops and Dell has offered the following fixes/workarounds: 1. Dell Inspiron 1100 and 5100 - There is a BIOS issue that will cause problem when launching the Merlin C201 modem manager. Dell has fixed this issue in BIOS version A22 or higher. If you have an Inspiron 1100 or 5100, please check for BIOS version A22 upgrade which is available at www.support.dell.com listed inder FlashBIOS for Inspiron 5100 and Inspiron 1100. 2. Dell IR port - The IR port assigned to COM1 may cause a problem when launching our modem manager. Dell has offered 2 workarounds - (1). Disable the IR port in the BIOS if it is not used. or (2) If the IR port is needed, reassign it to COM 2,3 or 4 and reboot the laptop 2 times.
